Photon-1

Background

Photon is an internal application relating to AI initiatives within SGS&CO. In order to achieve the goals for the product, SGS&CO needed to invest in some UI / UX expertise to help with a consistent design approach that would be used throughout their library of applications. The brief I received from SGS&CO was to produce a new Design Library for Photon.

Involvement

Throughout this project I worked as part of a team made up of an SVP and product owners throughout the business. At the start of the project we reviewed user feedback and came up with a roadmap for the key areas that needed to be covered within the Design Library.

Working closely with the team, we worked in an agile environment to come up with page by page solutions over a two week period. This involved discussions around how we could implement user feedback that highlighted incosistencies throughout Photon and how it's best to utilise the Design Library once it's handed off to the development teams. After these discussions, I would create a mock-up for the specific pages and then showcase them in a demo call. This was to gauge feedback from the SVP and product owners before I moved onto the other pages throughout the Design Library. The pages would highlight such things as typography in use, the chosen colour palette, iconography, form field element styling and other areas of focus.
